What are you made of? The Epic 24hr challenge is all about you, it’s what you want to be known for. Take some inspiration from Guinness book of records or just go for it – who cares if it’s a world record. Your friends, family and supporters will get behind you whatever your goal. Runner? – how many marathons can you run in 24hours? How many vertical metres, how many peaks. Try an organised 24hr race or check the international calendar.
Cyclist? – how far will you go? Dirt or Road. Try a 24 hour race as an organised event. Love the hills? Go for maximum vertical metres – the ultimate KOM. Check out WEMBO, National 24hr challenge
Chess player? – go for a Guinness world record for most games or most opponents in 24 hours.
Rower? – either on an ergo or get into the water for the real thing.
Kayaker? – How many miles/kilometres in 24 hours?
Fitness Junkie? – Skip, Pump, Stair Climb, Spin Class, work out for 24 hours to glory!
Stair climbing freak? – how high can you climb in 24 hours? Got an Everest in you?
Rock Climber – what’s your highest vertical possible in 24 hours? Indoor or outdoor. Try the Horseshoe Hell in the USA.
Skater/Scooter/Wakeboarder/Skier/Snowboarder – how far can you push yourself? Are you world record material?
Wine taster – Well why not? How many cellar door wine tastings can you achieve in 24 hours? Yep – reckon that one could get messy but hey, why not?
Jetsetter? – how many countries can you visit in 24 hours?
Barista of glory? – are you the worlds most enduring barista – how many can you pour in 24?
Sheep shearer – in 2008, Brendan Boyle from Western Australia sheared 973 sheep to set a new official world record – raised $20k for Cancer at the same time. Got a few more in you?
Gamer? – the sky’s the limit here – set a record on your own terms.
Rock God? How many covers can you play in 24hours.
Dancer? Waltz, Pop, Break your way to a world record challenge.
Knitter? Crank out the baby booties for a world record – hey why not? Sell them off for some extra donation value for your cause.
Solo or team? Up to you. Share the glory with your mates or make a few new mates. In fact, how many new friends can you make in 24? Why not go for a Facebook world record or maybe Tinder? or maybe not!
Any sport, any activity. If you can do it you can try it for 24. Key consideration is whether you can do it safely. World record attempts have strict protocols for a reason. No one wants to die trying and 24 hours without sleep can be brutal.
